Locomotives telling the history of Spanish Railway. Rooms exhibiting railway tracks, tools, pictures and clothes give you more details on how things were in the past. A room with three train scale models is also part of visit. We visited Saturday around midday. During week it costs 6 euros. Weekend 3 euros. No queues. A nice flea market selling old toys in two platforms. We spend around 1.5 hours there.

Interesting place if you are here when it is open( the second weekend of every month). The entrance is free, we booked the tickets in advance but nobody checked them. There is like a market with lots of stuff inside also but the prices are very big. The trains are interesting and well maintained.

I liked it. Can't say the same about my wife or my daughters though 😂. It's interesting to see steam locomotives and some fancy reason carriages belonging to rich or important people. Reminds you of a time when train was the most advanced transport mean. Access into a few of the locomotives or carriages is allowed. I wish there were more. Though this is not on the top-10 places to see in Madrid, I would give it a try if you're out of ideas. Random fact: tickets were more expensive compared to some nicer museums.
